How can a customer logout a device from the hotspot?

We are currently using another hotspot system that allows a customer to logout a device.
This is often used if the customer tries to login a device when there are already the maximum number of devices logged in.
Powerlynx does not appear to offer a device logout page.

We currently do not have options like this. Should this feature remove the MAC from the voucher to make space for a new MAC?

I’m not sure how to answer ‘remove the MAC’ as this is an implementation detail on how you probably track device login. Having a logout option for a device is desirable not only for the scenario I outlined in my original post, but also for modern phones that use Locally Administered Address Range when connecting to Wi-Fi.

I am able to demonstrate this limitation by using a voucher with a 1 Simultaneous device limit. I just tested connecting the same phone using 5GHz Wi-Fi rather than the 2.4GHz which was used to activate a voucher for the phone. The login failed with the message: This voucher is no longer available. Please ensure your provided the correct code and try again.

I used the same phone for both logins. The MAC the phone used during the 2.4GHz connection and voucher validation was 76CE6A529509. Connecting to 5GHz Wi-Fi, the phone used a MAC of 96CCD36CCC8C.

Is there a way as the Administrator to remove a MAC address from the voucher?

Currently, in Powerlynx, you cannot perform this action without disabling a voucher. You can disable the voucher, return it to the customer, unlink the MAC address from the customer, and then reactivate the voucher.

This seems to be a beneficial enhancement for our system. We will discuss it internally.
